David is a postdoctoral researcher focused on the scientific study, control and improvement of both habitats and animal and plant populations. He is particularly interested in highly anthropized environments, where he aims to identify concrete measures to reconcile environmental conservation with different human needs.
David just joined our team as a research assistant of the project "Population trends in response to past and future climate: mitigation action to prevent the decline of common land birds" funded by Fundación Biodiversidad.
Together with Luis M. Carrascal and Sara Villén-Pérez, he will forecast the trend of common birds' populations in peninsular Spain under climate change scenarios, and will assess the suitability and protection status of areas that will be key for future bird conservation.
